Easy to Use

I purchased this software today and I am so glad I did! I have completed one of the 3 tax returns for my family members. The download was easy and it is saved as a shortcut on my desktop!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Awesome Program

I've used HR Block for several years and it's a solid program! This is the 1st year I had to file State taxes (non-resident) in 3 states. I was expecting to be able to file with the 5 e-files that come with the purchase. I was a little disappointed, but I was thrilled when the data automatically populated! Saved me tons of time
Pros: Easy to prepare

Value for Price compared to competors

I have used H&R Block tax software for many years. Ease of use and price have been the main reason; however, I do wish they would work harder getting all of the forms approved much earlier. Both the Business portion of the software and the Personal portion have forms I need that still have not been approved as of 2/5/22. My wife and I have 2 LLC's and beside our own tax return I do 2 of our children's and 2 of our grandchildren's taxes. I have to buy an additional state package as 1 child & grandchild live in another state. This year I will also do another grandchild and foster grandchild returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

The interview was on point. I also like the "learn more" feature. However, for an area that I needed help on I called the help line, was told someone would call me back in 20 minutes, but they never did.

Incorrect treatment of traditional IRA contrib

The 1040 premium version incorrectly disallows deduction for contribution to a traditional IRA. The program incorrectly disallows based income level. There are no income limitations for traditional IRA contributions. Those limitations apply to Roth IRA. Fix it!

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BOX 8 K-1 is missing in the software.

Program is great EXCEPT my software does not ask me to fill in BOX 8 of K-1 information. As such if I file with it (and I have a short term capital loss) in Box 8 I LOSE. What is wrong with this part of the software? Darrell.

It makes doing taxes fun

Although there are a couple of quirks to get through, I love this tax program! I've been using it since the 90's when it was developed by one guy...can't remember his name, then bought by Tax Cut, then H&R that have kept it streamlined and easy to use.
