Easy to use software. Online help is a virtual assistant, so you can't ask a direct question and receive a direct answer. That part is disappointing for the money paid.

I've used H&R Block tax software for years. It is starting to get complicated... probably due to tax changes. Also, during the accuracy check, schedule C started appearing as incomplete but I don't use C...I use F. It was confusing for me and I imagine for others as well.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software wouldn't update and wouldn't let me transmit my tax return without updating. It wasn't my computer- I uninstalled everything that could have been blocking an update. I couldn't reinstall the program because of the new download protection fee... What a sham!! Moving to turbo tax next year.

Excellent program and software is efficient. Will always choose over TT. Less bloated and less expensive. Premium does everything except trusts & estates. TT used to in there deluxe but wanted more money in 2015 & had to buy pricy TT Home & business. Went to HRB premium that does exactly the same, took a little adjusting but using it since. Only 4 stars because there next year estimating help is helpless. Went to IRS site and much more useful there for that. This is the best program for the money if you know how to navigate taxes a bit.

I found the software difficult to maneuver when I wished to return to a certain page. Even though the menu states "Go To" it refused to go to where I wanted to be. I also found that the software did not allow a detail listing of Schedule D transactions.
If you are a beginner at IRS filings, then this software will function for your level but for the more advanced preparer, be sure to compare products as well as companies.
