Injured spouse form 8379

The premium software worked just as well as the online software. Very easy to understand and use.
However, I only bought the software because I wished to submit form 8379 electronically, which you can do unless you live in a community property state. The states having community property are Louisiana, Arizona, California, Texas, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and Wisconsin. Community property states follow the rule that all assets acquired during the marriage are considered "community property".
Be sure to Google your extra forms and see if it's even possible to submit electronically before you get a product.
Cons: Hard to import
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast

I am a prior H & R Block Tax preparer. I retired this year after 17 years with H&R. I was concerned about doing my own taxes since I have a rental business. I purchased the Premium H&R Block program and was delighted with it. It still took me awhile, but I am now prepared to purchase this program every year from now on!!
Cons: Time consuming
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare

Data Migration Still Weak

2015 AGI did not migrate automatically; code should know about me from multiple previous returns; need to give me better guidance on deductions. Consider changing the data entry order to give more immediate gratification --- ask for estimated taxes paid first thing, then ask for income and 1099, then go into deductions. Also, previous version used to tell you what was national averages for each deduction, now it does offer that trivia. It was usefull.
Not good advice for tax deductions on repayment of student loans AFTER student dropped out of school. No clear place for legal fees related to divorce.
Would be good for advanced advice for self-employed filing schedule "C".

Disappointed once again with E file limitations

I had a total of 4 vehicles during the year and because of this I was unable to e file. I really like the features of this tax program but there is always some limitation that sours the experience.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to prepare

Own small business, must file Form 1040 Schedule C, program guided me through & helped me find all eligible deductions.
Cons: Time consuming
