Been using H&Rs tax software for about ten years. I have my own construction business, and this makes tax time as easy as can be. I import the return from the year before, and it saves me tons of time. I just love it, and it saves me lots of money

I already wrote a review from within the program as I finished the Federal. With the new Trump tax deduction I was able to ignore itemizing and finished the Federal with about 2 hours of work. Years ago when I did this by hand it took days. Two years ago when I had a Real Estate business and had to itemize deductions it took about 15 hours over 3 days. How times have changed with better tax laws and HR Block.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have been filing with H&R Block programs online for many years now and find it easy and reliable. Makes the task of filing taxes much more pleasant and less intimidating. And reasonable priced too!

Not as good as other years

After the software did the review of my return: the return added an extra form that I could not delete. It was the only fix for the problem. Therefore I couldn't efile and had to mail my return.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very clear, straightforward program... If you just go step by step, read the instructions carefully and don't rush, you will have no trouble. As it happens, some years back I worked tech support for a different tax software, also very good, and I developed a mantra "just go step by step by step, let the software do the work." It was good advice then, and it's good advice now.

The information related to IRA conversion are not clear. Not sure whether the tax related calculations are accurate or not.
The DC tax software did not include necessary form. The company should provide the refund the price of DC tax package.
