Someone just asked on social media a few days ago about tax software. Several were recommended by others, but I did indeed lift up this one. I have tried others, and this is my favorite. I love the audit watch feature. My only fault is that I was led to think online help was free, when it is not. Still, a very nice product.

Downloads your stock trades like none other

Very straight forward and intuitive. My brokerage statement was 35 pages, and I found that H&R Block was the only tax program that downloaded ALL info saving me hours of manual entry. I will never use the alternative again.

Program was buggy and caused numerous inaccuracies

Had to enter information and override several areas on return due inaccuracies in program. Importing data from last year causes significant discrepancies in data also requiring overrides of input info. Imported home office info and could not eliminate in this years return causing numerous and I mean numerous flags that require overriding
Will be looking elsewhere next year
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ive had a few glitches over the years but always come back. There are a few interview questions i wish were asked differently to simplify the thinking about how to answer.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast

Activation code lost

I have been a loyal user of this tax program for over 7 years, its perfect for my small business taxes. This year I some how lost my activation code and could not E-File unless I paid with a credit card.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

I have used the H&R Block tax software for many years with zero problems. Unfortunately, this year was different. Under additional income I had a rental property and royalties. The software this year was very confusing and took me several times to separate my rental income from the royalties. If I don’t hear that they fixed this Issue, I may use another software next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it was a seamless process of transferring 2018 information into the 2019 software. It was very thorough and easy to move through each stage from beginning to finishing.
