Wasted a full day inputting 1099-B 4 pages worth because couldn't get import to work. Then figured out the password input for Edward Jones choice is truncated to 20 characters. Edward Jones allows up to 60 character passwords and I had 36 length. It was cut off, but I couldn't tell since there is no option to actually see the entered password, just *. So login was failing. Had to change password to 19 length to get import to work.
Stupid coding errors like this make me wonder about all the other calculations. I came to HRBlock after TurboTax messed up. Guess I'm going back to them now.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the software to filed my tax return, however a little clarification on the commands will help me. Especially after importing documents and I have issues and verifications
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

My CPA of 29 years retired and I worried about finding a new one. I researched all software products and decided on H&R Block thinking that if I got into trouble, there are plenty of kiosks to visit in person. However, the program's guidance gave me confidence. Yes, I worked it and re-worked my return many times. I learned so much about tax issues that I never knew before. It was kinda fun and will definitely use it again next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
