We have used HR Block for many years. Help menu easy to use with great detailed information. Love that I can file up to 5 tax returns for free with my purchased program. Wouldn’t use any other program to file my taxes.

I have been using H&R Block software since 2007. Doing my taxes usually takes 3 days. This year required 6 days. I understand taxes pretty well and trying to find the right location for an entry was much more difficult this year. The final blow was in the Accuracy Review. The software insisted that in Business Use of Home, Line 36 must be equal to or greater than Line 37. Line 36 was cost of business use of home and Line 37 was the adjusted basis of my home- a ridiculous comparison. The problem: It should have said Line 37 must be equal to or greater than Line 38.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software is very easy to use and generally self-explanatory. I've been using Block's Premium for many years to deal with taxes from self-employment, dividends, capital gains and rentals as well as regular employment income.
