Great Tax software. I use it year after year and I highly recommend it. It auto populates forms from the prior year. Very easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I bought this software a few weeks ago and I have had so many problems. My return was rejected because of a program error and when I ran the update I was no longer able to access my return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

Good program. I’ve used it for years. My only problem is the waiting for updates. Disappointing to finish everything and then be told you need to wait a week for updates.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Federal Rejected due to HR Blocks software fault!

My return will now be at least 3 weeks late because this company had a fault in their software that caused a Federal rejection of my taxes! I was promised the software would be updated *2 weeks later* on February 14th. Here it is the 15th, software updated and the program will now not connect to their server. AND I have to re-enter my credit card and be charged to efile AGAIN because of their error. Unprofessional and Unacceptable. After using them for years for my small business, I will no longer!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good quality at a good price

Was able to do my taxes. Could not import my W2's and had to correct a few input errors. Finally figured out what I did wrong and hoping I did not make any other input errors. Other than that it was great.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Good Tax Preparation Software

Product is great except for entering royalties and rents. If you have more than a single entry it is very easy to lose your way between adding a 1099-misc and other information. There is a lot of room for improvement in the explanations and navigation. This is the only area of the product that I have an issue with and why more stars were not given and the hard to prepare "Cons".

Cons: Hard to prepare

Very good but could be better

Overall I am happy with this product and have been using HR Block tax software for about six years now. The instructions are clear and the software is well organized. My only complaint is downloading and processing financial institution data is not as clean as it could be. It would be good if the software asked you if you have financial data to download before you started working on individual forms, like 1099-INT, etc.. It's confusing when the software downloads 1099-INT, but the financial institution downloads everything - 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc.... It would be easier to understand if you could download all the financial institution data before you start working on the forms. After download it could show you what forms were downloaded up front, and you could then see if it actually got all the correct data. Make sense?

Missing important forms

In the past this has been a great product. This year however I need form 8911 which is not included and has no plans of being added. Now I have useless software that will require me to either manually file my return not using the software and including form 8911, or file with the software and then manually submit an amended return and wait for months for the rest of my return to be processed. Neither is acceptable for the amount this product cost. If you have purchaced an EV or a charging station for it stay away from this and go with turbo tax since they include all the proper forms. This will likely be the last year I use this software as having all the forms available is important to me and TaxCut misses the mark.
