I have been using H&R Block software for many years and in general, find it user friendly and easy to use. 2019 was a bit disappointing due to a glitch which caused my tax returns to be rejected/not transmit to the federal. Which in turn caused my state returns to be rejected. The up side is that H&R provided a workable solution. As a result, though my tax returns were delayed, they were processed.

CRASHED MULTIPLE TIMES!

3rd year I've used this product. very similar in look and feel to turbotax which I dropped after it got too expensive. this product is almost the same price now unless you find a discount code. this year the product crashed several times. luckily it does a background save so I didn't lose too much. after the 3rd crash I periodically did an interim save. also the data check screen wouldn't let me override some of the itemized deduction worksheet. it couldn't cope with me NOT itemizing this year vice last year. had to delete some old worksheets, not a good deal.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
