not as good as previous Tax Cuts

I have been using Tax Cut for several years and I feel this one is more difficult to use than previous years. My return is probably more complex than average. I a program like this allows you to make a change deep in the return and the program makes the rest of the necessary changes through the rest of the return. My main gripes (below) with this years may have existed in prior years and I didn't encounter them.
I found the "Learn More" in most cases of little help.
The program's summery screens can not be printed by themselves for study and review. The program would not allow me even to copy and paste the information from the screen. What's needed is a summery screen that can be printed and shows a break out of income sources and amounts and deductions.
It would also be helpful if printing the current screen was an option.

Program didn't catch mistake 4 rejections by IRS!!

I have used the H&R Block program for many years. The final review always caught mistakes and my return was always accepted the first time no problem., very happy. This year I have been rejected 4 times so far and I am now late getting my taxes filed because of this !!! I am a nervous wreck and super annoyed!! I need help a real person to figure this out!!!

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Easy To Use

This product is easy to use; the questions were logical and flowed in sequence. I did find some of the explanations a little difficult to understand so I believe simpler language should be used whenever possible. On the whole, I was satisfied with the results.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Used HR Block for a number of years, generally satisfied, but this year's version was a significant step back. Where is the check box to simply take the standard deduction and override the program's decision? Can't adjust autocalculations from home office expenses. Ok if you have the simplest situations. Not good for anything sophisticated. Don't mind that the program makes a decision, but the fact you can't fix or override without invalidating your entire return - making it a manual return with no value to the program - is a big thumbs down. Hard to navigate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Several problems but the main one was not being able to download some investment accounts. PLEASE LET ME KNOW I CAN DOWNLOAD WELLS FARGO ADVISORS IN THE FUTURE. IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE IN 2018. ALSO FRANKLIN TEMPLETON INVESTMENTS. I WILL NOT PURCHASE H&R BLOCK AGAIN IF I DON'T KNOW THESE ARE INCLUDED. THANK YOU.

Is it me or is this tax stuff getting even more complicated? After the returns have been filed, I really have no idea whether it’s right or not. The schedule C process is a nightmare. It only lets you see through a peephole when you need an overview of everything in order to sort out what goes where. It asks for some things several times, so I’m not sure whether it’s confused or both of us. I need a tax preparer in a box, but not one that is afraid of every deduction, like Block’s people!
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Federal is great, State not so much

I've used HRB for years and I'm pleased with the Federal tax program. I wish the HI State program was more complete.
