Update from Deluxe to Premium did not take as expected, took two calls to H&R Tech support to resolve - apparently needed to de-install Deluxe to apply Premium update. Confused that Print File screen appeared before completing E-file option - insutructions unclear, otherwise instructions adequate. Importing needs expanding (Wealthfront) but still a big plus.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast

Save in PDF

When saving a file in PDF format, I always get "Not Responding". The files saves, but the not responding message is annoying. I've used this software for four years, and this annoying message has always been there when saving in PDF. I wish you could resolve this issue.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2018 Program is full of errors

I have used HRblock for years and it has always worked for me, this time, I found that it is no longer as intuitive and there was specific information that was put into the Federal portion of the program that didn't transfer to the State program, then it didn't allow us to add this to the state program. Specifically, it was the est taxes paid to the state and the details on my brother length of living with my mom as a dependent.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

In past of used with MAC OSX running Parallels

It's getting harder to use every year. Had to install without MAC external drive support this year. In addition, stock sales are hard to enter and the one account I could import was double imported. There needs to be a way to review all 1099B imports by account and approve not have to go through each transaction and verify one at a time.

Interviews are less and less effective

Each year now the interviews are less and less helpful. Not all situations are listed. The guidance is not clear. For example, the interview to input Schedule K-1s is so lame, I sure hope what I filled out is right! And I gave up on trying to understand the rental of my home and all that's involved with it. If I hadn't been doing my own taxes for years, I'd be clueless as to what to do. I do NOT intend to ever use this program again.

Excellent product. Disappointed IRS Form 8865 not included.

Request you alphabetize lists

When importing the previous year's data, it would be tremendously helpful if you could alphabetize the lists for interest income, dividend income, and charitable contributions. This would make it much easier to find the correct line for the new data entry. An already great product would be even better !

Premium 2018 Home & Business AWFUL

The Business software was full of bugs, couldn't enter / edit data for certain fields. This was NOT TAX related, but could not file return on paper or electronically becuase of errors in FORMs and with program. 20+ hours with technical support and convoluted, workarounds. NEVER AGAIN.
