Everything good accept one pain. That was in reimbursement business expenses in the Yes/No questions. You tried to force me to fill in the answers in the review before filing. What a pain. Without this everything would have been great.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

MFJ vs. MFS comparison program is a disaster

I have used HRB software multiple times and am very satisfied overall. BUT twice I have made the mistake of trying the MFJ vs. MFS worksheet. Entering the spouse's information is cumbersome to begin with. But worse is that even when you choose MFS instead of MFJ it does not delete the spouse's information so you need to review previously entered taxpayer data. And even when you delete the form it shows up again in the accuracy review. Very annoying!
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare

I work in a tax office and use this to prepare my taxes at home. This is very cumbersome and cumbersome to review, You are constantly opening and closing forms.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had an issue with the write off for an office. It did not stop me to tell me what the total write off is for an office. We had two offices but it would not let me file electronically. I filed on paper and then found the error. Currently in decussion with the IRS on the issue. This error just needs to be addressed.

Failed State processing of Federal changes

My state did not accept the federal changes to depreciation this year and instead of UPDATING the state program to re-calculate my depreciation according to the OLD method (2017), they gave me a set of instructions that I had to manually execute myself. Well, those instructions did NOT work and actually screwed up my state return. Looking at the forms my Fed AGI was so wrong that everything else was totally messed up! Unfortunately, going back to my federal return and removing my depreciation item and placing it in another category for this year will likely get me audited, but it did allow my state return to process normally.
HRBlock has done this before. Whenever my state does not accept a federal change to the tax code they make ME manually make the changes myself instead of taking the time to update the state program. this years being exceptionally BAD. Makes you want to go out and buy another product right away, but there just isn't time unless I file for an extension. NO recommendation here for anyone with depreciation to buy HRBlock 2018.

I have been a reqular almost since it was first released and it has made my tax season much more efficient and much less painful. Its likely saved me much money by making me aware of all my deductions and prevented audits by identifying all my mistakes.before I submit the tax form.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Can you please find a solution that allows Fed.Forms to accompany Massachussetts e-file? Each year your program allows me to e-file my state return but it gets rejected later by MA because it needs copies of Federal Forms and I have to print and mail. Please find a solution that will either not allow certain filers to e-file, or enable necessary federal forms to accompany the state.

I've used H&R Block since they were previously Taxcut, and I haven't fund any easier program!
