Have Used H&R Block Software many years

I have always felt confident after doing my taxes on the HR Block Premium Software that they are accurate and give me the best refund possible. I use both federal and state and do the e-file.... very easy and quick as it ports information from the previous years files to ensure it is accurate... refunds are quick and most of the time, my returns are accepted by both federal and state within a few hours after submitting... I wouldn't do my taxes any other way....
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Helps you guide you through the tax process and submission of tax forms.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Good software & good help desk support on phone

We have used HRBlock for many years and found it trustable and thorough. This year in particular the Win10 computer we used had the software behaving oddly. I'm a retired Computer Science professor and I know "odd". So gave up trying to fix things myself, called the 800 help. Was escalated to 2nd tier help & all is now fine. AND it made sense the changes that I made.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

A little glitchy this year!!!

I have been using this software for years and this is the first year I encountered so many errors in the final accuracy check. One was an overpayment on a Roth and it kept showing I put 6k into a Roth account that I never entered. Also, it kept thinking I was running a business so it kept showing incomplete data on the business schedules/worksheets. Went through several iterations of deleting forms and running error check and it would appear again. Eventually got it all resolved but after 30!mins of trying to figure out what was going on. Also, when I pulled down the whole forms I couldn’t navigate around the form. I could only make changes where the error checker put the cursor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WORST SOFTWARE

If I could give this a ZERO rating I would. I have used this software in the past but never has it been this bad. It does not let you print your return or save it unless you down load their corrupt software. If I could stand and the store and tell people not to buy it I surely would. Terrible!!!!
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2018 Tax Returns

I have been a regular user of H&R for many years, the only complaint I have is that you can't get answers to questions on the interview portions, there should be a phone number to call, not the computer generated help desk which is worthless. Other then that It is fairly simple to use and I will be using them again next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
