GREAT FILING EXPERIENCE

I BOUGHT THIS PROGRAM THIS AFTER USING IT LAST YEAR. I WAS HAPPY WITH IT LAST YEAR AS WELL AS WITH IT THIS YEAR.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

EVERY THING WAS WELL THOUGH OUT AND WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. I HAVE USED THIS SOFTWARE FOR 4 OR 5 YEARS NOW AND WAS WELL PREPARED TO WORK WITH THIS INTUITIVE AND MOOTH RUNNING SOFTWARE....DID NOT HAVE TO CONTACT HR BLOCK ASSISTANCE AT ALL THIS TIME.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

An exercise in Patience

Wish I was a CPA. This is not a product for a first-time user of a tax prep software program. Very time consuming. I thought it would be simply a matter of filling in the blocks - glad that I had already done a paper copy of the return and was able to verify my own calculations. Of course, the "new" 1040 and Schedules didn't make it any simpler.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm very pleased with the ease of use of this tax return software. I had been a long-term user of another software and was nervous about switching. I found the transition extremely simple. H&R Block software successfully used my tax information from the previous product.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I felt it was excellent, but I just do not know if the deluxe would be okay for my use to take care of rental property in a state I do not live in.

Best Tax Software Available

I have been using HRB's software since before it was "HRB," but rather "TaxCut." I loved it from day one. I have used several different tax software programs over the years while helping friends and family members with their tax returns, plus I actually worked as a tax preparer for HR Block a few years. I may use other companies' products for those I help, but for my own returns and those of my sons', I choose Block. It is the easiest and most comprehensive tax software available to 'laymen.'
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Buggy 2 Years in a row

Overall the program is solid- I've been using it for years because it's cheaper than Turbotax. However, for the second year in a row, the update feature DID NOT WORK from within the program. I had to go to the website & download the updates manually, which isn't super easy, because finding the right site takes some doing. Also, the State program refused to install from within the main program. I had to contact Technical Support and be sent a link to download & install it.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
