The federal tax portion is great. The state tax still needs improvement especially for the state of Hawaii which does not tax pensions or rollovers of pension lump sums into an IRA account. I cannot separate that income from my regular RMD’s.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Not so good. It is easy to miss the QCD deduction (I had to file amended returns for 2025 and 2024. Planning was useless. Planning refused to recognize that our social security income and pensions are taxable.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I switched from Turbo Tax and found your software more clunky and annoying to work with. Your program makes you click through everything again and again. After importing my stock/bond information it kept flagging it over and over for me to check the Specific spelling of each individual company. How can TARGET be wrong? It’s a regular English word and a company. Very frustrating.

I have a little invested and rental property and it captures and records all the past years (since I have been using H&RB forever) so I am not starting over each year. That saves me a lot of time, and even after these many years I need the prompts to remind me to go find some expenses or costs that I have forgotten.
Wish it were all updated and ready from the start of tax season, but would rather have to wait to file and it be up to date, than file early and have to amend.
