Updates in a forever loop

The updates don’t upload. It sends you in a never ending loop with no updates. Did the same thing last year. The good news is they have good staff that do their best to work with you to fix the problem, which ends up downloading their newest version. They have been havin* this problem for some time. Needs to be fixed, not worth the stress.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Calculated everything correctly!

I started using a different and free software program, but it kept dropping over 2000 of deductions of rental losses. Using the same inputs, this software captured the losses and reported them correctly. The cost of this program was significantly less than the difference in my return. It was easy to use and spot on accurate. Simply wonderful!!
My only suggestion would be to improve the import of forms. Other software can import from a jpeg or other picture, but this software requires a pdf. A small inconviance when compared to getting the calculations right!

H & R Block is much easier to use than Turbo Tax. I used Turbo Tax for years and now only use H & R Block

I use H&R Block every year. I rent a condo and had the most success with it moving the depreciation values forward each year. I do have some issues however, nothing is ever perfect. This year when it moved my deprecation values forward it asked me which method of deprecation I wanted to use for each item. This is declared when you first depreciate the item and should be carried forward until the depreciation is complete. The program did not do this. I had to go back to last year's taxes to see what I had done with each item. This was not very easy since the displayed item didn't really match up with how it was described in the software.
I always got the impression that when it came time to state taxes, H&R Block didn't put as much effort into their questions as they did in the Federal return. At times the software just gives you the state form and instructs you to file it in if it applies. I assume I recognize the question then I would know what they are talking about and just ignore it. They could be a problem but probably not for most people.

Fine program

I have been using H& R Block for several years. It is a fine program, doing all that I need to do. The question and answer procedure is helpful, but occasionally a bit tedious as I know what I need to enter but still have to go through all of the steps. But, at least I don't miss something in the process! Thanks for good work!

I have been a loyal fan of H&R Block and they continue to not let me down. Even the in-person locations are superb in terms of customer service. I am a big fan of the ease of use of this software.
