I have used H&R Block online for years and have always been successful ! :-)
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

The program is really good. My two complaints: The help consisted of online chat. If they have time to type, they have time to talk on a phone. Phone would have been easier and faster. Secondly, it looks like we could get at least one free state efile when we buy the program. One quirk - A spouse died last year and that was indicated on 2017 return. This year the spouse was still listed and was difficult to get him out and file as "single". Again though - I like the program

Won't transfer direct deposit info

I file my federal taxes electronically and have the refund direct deposited. I file my State taxes by mail. The program does not transfer the direct deposit info to my state taxes and when I try to enter it, it will not print the account number.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used H&R Block for over 20 years. Best part is imputing last years data. Makes preparation very easy and straight forward.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I did two returns - my federal and my son's federal+California state return. The software computes the tax return easily. It brought up deductions and credits I wouldn't have gotten on my own. I had problems e-filing it but the customer service reps were very helpful. I have a Macbook Pro and the problem was with the browser. Once the reps helped me, I was able to file.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy to Understand

I have done my returns for 3 years with this product and it gets better every year. My only con is there is some things which could be explained more but that is few and far inbetween (Not to mention very picky). I would recommend this product to any self employed person novice and veteran alike.

I've been using the H & R Block Premium for years now and I find the product to be very detailed and it helps you not to miss anything!!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming
