I have used this program for over 15 years and this year has been such a disappointment! In the Ohio state tax I was allowed one of two choices for a credit. I made my choice and when I filed they found the program had subtracted both credits. I am now corresponding to correct the issue. What a hassel for a senior tax payer. If I have to file an amended form, I assume the program will do it again.

The software program did not work properly. It did not copy information I entered correctly to the final form submittted to irs. I had to delete one legitimate deduction in order for the irs to accept the form. So it cost me money.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am on my 4th tax report and the program is not working properly. When I put in the wages of the first spouse and then enter the information of the 2nd., the wages of the second also goes to change the first. I am questioning the reliability of the software.

I'm a former CPA and I used Turbo Tax for 36 straight years. I dumped their product since they got too expensive and were really pushing their tax advice services. H&R is a good product. My prior year data transferred accurately, the 1099 import-data feature works and the step-process is logical. Please make the computer arrow keys work to navigate a form for next year.

Could not take my nonresident California NEC 592-B income, so the California software that I purchased was useless and a waste of money for me. I was disappointed with the nonresident state software this year, it was not as simple to complete as in years past. I will be switching to Turbo Tax next year.
