We have been using this for years, our two children use the same software. It is relatively easy to use. The only issue I have is the constant updating, It doesn't state what we are waiting for We have submitted our forms and it still says there is another update in a week. Does it stop us from sending our taxes in if it is not updated for our forms?

I found a discrepancy between the irs.gov 1040 instructions and the computation of the software - there is no one to talk to about such issues. On another form, the MN Homestead Refund form double-counted one of my income sources. This was true in 2024 as well, but it wasn’t corrected in the 2025 software. So disappointing. I do like to use the software despite the problems to double-check my own calculations and for the audit protection.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

QBI Carry Forward Error...

Loyal to HR for over 20 Years but not anymore, completed my takes over 30 days and still can not efile due to a calculation error (QBI Carry Forward ammounts from K-1) and I am not the only one with that issue, contacted Help Desk 3 times and always the same answer: "please wait for Friday update", more than 5 updates later and still same issue. Next year I will go do TurboTax.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
