tried to import items but could not called to get help was put on hold and no one every came on to help me as new to H&R things did not go as smooth as i would have liked. i got taxes done and they were accepted
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used the desktop version for many years. Now I tried the online versions of both H&R and TurboTax because they have better audit warranty but gave up because they are not as informative as the desktop version. With the desktop version I learn about tax law and I can use that knowledge to better prepare for next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents

The software is easy to use. One complaint is that there are limited options for importing data. I'm unable to import data because none of the available sources are the ones I need.
Some other tax software programs make this data readily available. An improvement would be to provide the capability to transfer data from the source to the H and R software via copy and paste.

Generally very good and easy to use but difficult to navigate back after a diversion to a worksheet or to make a suggested correction. No button to take you back, You need to redo all the steps already done to return to the previous spot.
