Software reliably does most tasks. Claiming the Foreign Tax Credits uses Form 1116 and is somewhat cumbersome, but in the end it works.
The parts about what to do if the return is "Rejected" by the IRS is sketchy and hard to find, particularly what to do with the State submission if/when the Fed submital is rejected, and what to do with the State until the Federal is resolved.

Thanks for a great product! I have used HR Block Tax Software for over a dozen years, filing electronically both State and Federal and have been completely happy with the software. I usually have to pay taxes to both State and Federal but that is a case of me under reporting during the year, not a fault of the software.

Download issues every year, but once downloaded, it is excellent. After Download Windows Defender error message, I tried calling two different Support numbers and also used virtual assistant, but those were useless. I finally gave up, then tried to download again, and it worked fine and quickly.
