I bought over a month ago. I had a very detailed tax to file. It took me several hours to fill out all the information needed. Finishing, final checking, and sending gave me a sigh of relief. And I received a refund within a week. So happy with the H&R software.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Look Elsewhere If You Have K-1 Statements

The handling of K-1 Schedules is poor. Instructions are vague. AI Help could not answer a single question that I had. The feature is useless. Also, when I pay for tax prep software, the last thing I want to see is offering "talk to one of our tax pros.". I used Turbo Tax last year and I think things went much smoother.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using this program for years and it is pretty good. This is especially true for basic tax purposes. I specifically had some annuities that were cashed in and the questions they ask were a bit confusing. Hopefully I got it correct and won’t be audited, but it wasn’t really very clear. I know you offer support line, but sadly it’s very long wait. I have also had some challenges understanding some of the depreciation schedules for rental properties in the past. I’m sure it’s all there, it is just confusing this to the best way to manage it. In some cases, it might be best to get a tax professional.

H&R Block import is LOUSY !!

I HAD to use HR Block Premium this year as TurboTax abandoned me due to not having Win11. So I'll never use them again. THEN HR Block advertised being able to import my 2024 Filing (used TurboTax to file last year) either by .pdf or the TurboTax proprietary extension. SAYING EITHER IMPORT WOULD BE 100% EFFECTIVE. Guess what... the HR Block company now occupies an equally low esteem-level as TurboTax !! The import was abismal ! Personal info only, and nowhere a "Last Year -vs- This Year" comparison an apparent FORTE of TurboTax. Sorry to RAVE but this was no easy task !!

Changed to it because it supported Windows 10. Not nearly as easy to navigate as Turbo Tax. The section on QCDs was especially confusing. Going back to TurboTax next year.
