You sent me a link to buy the tax program with the Federal and the free State. When I went to finish them the program said I had to pay for the state. I went back to your email to me to check and yes the State was included in the one I bought. Something is wrong on your end there. I paid for it and filed.

Improvemnents needed on 1099-R and 1099-B inputs

Problems with program correctly processing download info from Ameriprise Financial for 1099-B. Problems with inputs for RMD data, instructions poorly written and confusing and led to input errors. Lack of clear guidance on IRS pin numbers led to IRS rejecting return submission forcing a paper submission
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Shipped to me on auto in December. Easy to use, have a number of rental and farm and things can get complicated the program made everything easier. Have used since 2011 every year it gets the job done easily.

While the product is fairly straight forward, it seems that the information available for clarifying some questions is less complete than before. My tax situation is meaningfully less complex than it was when I was working, but I seem to have to look outside the HR Block software more often for explanations or answers to questions. I also encountered situations where the software was asking multiple times for information that I could download, and I had to then go back and delete redundant copies of the data. While staying with Block may be easier because of importing data from prior year's returns, I'm not sure I would recommend it to a first time buyer.

I have used the software for 16 years. I use the Premium version as I have a business and many investment items. The best part is the software keeps up with new tax laws and update the software every year.
Pros: Easy to prepare
