Software worked well and I am pleased with it. Updates kept getting pushed back with little clear information, which was frustrating. Could have been a 5 star experience if not for that

I found it fairly easy to use. However, the software did have difficulty incorporating changes to the forms during the review process. The chatbot was useless on helping through that issue.

I have used H&R Block software for several years, but this year I had a problem filing a Kansas return. I was eligible for the Kansas Homestead refund, but I had to file manually because the software wasn’t available or wasn’t working.

Easy but needs more prompts and questions. I had to go to IRS website for some of the things I needed to know.

Generally works well. Sometimes the interview questions leave you wondering if they mean "this" or "that". It should be easier to look at the actual tax forms and review them. It should be easier to use this product as a planning tool for next year. Still, it is much better to have this product than not.

DIrect Deposit Glaring Oversight for '25 Returns

I have used H&R Block Home Premium for years, but this year it disappointed in a fairly big way. The return, due to the death of the taxpayer, had to sent via USPS and signed by the two personal administrators, including a document appointing them. When printing the HRB provided 1040-SR for mailing, there was no space for providing banking information on the form, and that information was not requested by the program. I mailed off the return two days ago, only to find a "reminder" online that no paper checks will be issued fpr 2025 returns by the IRS. I can only guess that the IRS will reject the entire return submission due to the lack of banking info, and send it all back to us eventually. WHY WAS THAT SPACE FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT OMITTED??? This is a glaring and annoying oversight. As the taxpayer is deceased, I can't correct this via an online Login.gov account. I am so disappointed!
