One gigantic, major complaint. In years past I purchased your product in November to begin the process by entering donations to charity. In my case that's a time consuming effort which can be done before any forms arrive in the mail. Unfortunately, this year your software was unable to do that. I had to wait until the first update in January to do that. So, I skipped that deduction and took the standard deduction instead. Had I known that the first release of your product was not ready to handle donations to charity I was have purchased another brand. Maybe you should advertise what your software can and cannot handle in your first release.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I am very happy with H&R tax software. I switched from Turbotax after many years and found the H&R software much easier to use. I am a retired CPA and have tax knowledge but am not current on new tax rules. The H&R software took care of that issue. I hope to stay with H&R many years and happily recommend it to anyone who asks me.

I have used H&R Block software for years over 25 years.
But I wish you could still purchase a physical disk rather than just an online download. Also this year the updates are coming later and later I'm still waiting for the final update so that I can file a few returns. Also it is very annoying that the number of e-files is limited.

Had to wait a month for updated forms after I'd completed my taxes and then the directions on how to answer additional questions were very unclear and poorly written. Up to that point, I thought the process was pretty intuitive and similar to TurboTax but this was very convoluted and required me to put the same information in different places--instead of self-populating--from the "interview" to the "forms". Additionally, my state taxes kept getting rejected and H and R Block charged my credit card 4 times which I will now have to dispute. Will be going back to Turbo Tax next year!
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
