Excellent first-time experience with H&R Block Premium 202 Software. Even though my business income and expenses are small, it was extremely easy to enter all my receipts, etc. We finished business and personal at the same time, and in less than one hour.
Unfortunately, we bought 2 tax packages this year, but that was because we first bought TurboTax. It was so cumbersome and took so many hours, we finally gave up, and saw that H&R had great customer ratings (should have done our homework: Turbotax has low ratings).
However, the most IMPORTANT difference to us was the online help. We couldn't navigate TurboTax, and were constantly, annoyingly prompted to pay for professional answers, with in-your-face marketing on upgrades. H&R Block, to our delight, had CLEAR instructions and hints, online AI-generated additional help, and--wow!--when we couldn't figure out a final item, we actually got to chat with a real person, at no extra cost, and the answer was swift, helpful, and courteous.
We could not ask for more! H&R customers for life.

I use this program to file tax returns for a number of clients. I am given 5 free efiles with my program. I would like to see an addition of more efiles. I would be willing to pay to be able to file more of my clients by this method. However, I get a message that the IRS won't let me file more than 5. I know that this is not true. After I have used my 5 efiles, I must paper file the rest. I don't mind paying extra to be able to efile these returns, but am unable to do so.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used HR Block for many years seems it has lost its appeal as being simple. Search items lead to dead ends requiring a lot of digging to find Individual inputs. Search button should be more intuitive.

I have been using H&R premium for over a decade, it is NOT because your software is good, it's purely because I am lazy to move on to other tools. Your software has not been improving much at all, and worse part, the "new issues" (they were NOT problems in the previous years) pop up every year, like this year, it kept asking me to verify my 1099-NEC data entry even after I did that serval times, which was so annoying! I finally gave up, and waited for updates, the problem went away after a update of the software; but it delayed my filing for two weeks and wasted lots of my time!

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
