I have been using this program and other H&R Block programs for several years now and overall things have gone well. The only down side this year is I had to wait until 02/27 to file due to having to wait for an update. Hopefully this can be addressed in the future.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

Software Bug

Software bug in Form 8962 forced me to mail in taxes instead of e-file. Part of the desire to have the software is the ability to e-file.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

E trade Import.

Doesn't work well with E trade and importing. Requires a professional accountant to understand.
Does use win 10, but not Linux, and where turbo tax only allows win 11, which most people can't afford.

I have used H R BLOCK PREMIUM software for over twenty years. Quick and easy to use. Had an alert called their DIY team instructed me to wait for a update. Updated as instructed. Alert gone. Great service Andrea!

The online process is not completely explained. The software should be in the cloud, not downloaded to my laptop. This was my first year so hopefully next year will be easier because 2025 return will already be on file. The worksheet vs form entry should be better explained. For a first time Block user, A lot of trial by error and never sure if I was following the right protocol.
