Wouldn't buy again

I have owned this product for 3 months now. I use it daily to keep hot water. It would be an excellent product if Westbend would of used Stainless steel for the center bottom heating area. It is most likely made from magnesium and is breaking down in the water and heat cycles. Within a year is will most likely be gone and the unit laying in a landfill. I believe they made this unit to be throw away product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
