good vacuum terrible battery

Purchased this vacuum a year ago. Performs really well. Unfortunately the battery that comes with the vacuum is terrible. Samsung did a poor job of battery choice, it doesn't last more than 20 minutes. I would not recommend just because of the battery. If you can upgrade the battery to something that actually lasts 1 hour then this vacuums on par with a Dyson.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

however, it's way too overpriced for a battery 62wh battery.

Disappointed Samsung Fan – Defective Vacuum Batter

As a loyal Samsung customer with all-Samsung appliances in my home, I’ve always trusted the brand’s quality. However, I’ve had ongoing issues with my Samsung vacuum’s battery. It works perfectly for about a year, then suddenly fails—no warning, no gradual decline. This isn’t just a one-time fluke; it’s happened multiple times, making me question the product’s reliability.
For a premium brand, I expected better durability. I love Samsung, but this vacuum’s battery performance has been frustrating. Hoping for a resolution—or at least a design improvement—because right now, it feels like a recurring defect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's important to note that lithium-ion batteries used in high-power devices like vacuum cleaners experience a different kind of wear compared to those in phones or laptops. Because these vacuums draw significant current during operation, the battery undergoes more rapid internal stress and heat buildup, which can accelerate its natural aging process. Over time, increased internal resistance may cause the battery to shut off suddenly under load, even if it appears to charge normally. Unlike smartphones, most vacuums don’t provide battery health indicators, so signs of wear often go unnoticed until performance is affected. Nice vacuum cleaner

In opposite to the previous reviews I like this vacuum cleaner and the battery is 20 minutes yes, but it's ok, just get the spare one and keep it in the vacuum cleaner stand. There is a special compartment for that.
And don't forget to clean the vacuum every time after you use it, it helps.
I like it more then Dyson.
