Quiet and Strong

Mounted this with horizontal ducting. The instructions recommend sealing the ducting with aluminum tape but lack any diagrams or clues for adequate access. "Note: Make sure the duct opening is large enough to apply aluminum duct tape." Could find no tutorial videos showing this approach, and can't imagine it.
Taping can only be done when the hood is fully mounted/flush against the wall, cabinetry on both sides.
Suggestion: Create a compressible flange enabling the hood to seal as it meets the wall. We did that and it works. Really love this Typhoon; quiet and STRONG!

Amazingly great exhaust fan

Installed a month ago. I have lung issues and this fan saved me from leaving the room when frying a steak or other smoke generating foods. In addition, it is easy to clean. I use to dread cleaning my previous hood because it was difficult to remove the residue cups and fan drip system. Hurt my neck everytime. I didn’t know what I was missing until this new Typhoon fan was installed. Thank you!

Excellent product

I bought my first Zephyr Typhoon Range Hood 17 years ago and was very happy with it. It would probably still be working if I hadn’t put 50 Watt LED bulbs in the sockets. This Range Hood fit perfectly under my custom made cabinet which was the original reason I bought it. It worked so well I was delighted I could replace it with almost the same model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A fabulous Hood

I bought this hood about a week ago. I had a microwave above our stove which finally kicked the bucket. When I went to replace it I found out that I could not get a size to fit in the area above my stove, so I decided to look for a hood. I finally fell in love with this hood.
It was perfect, small, easy instructions and was told it would do the job. It really does the Job. I LOVE IT. I knew it would be great as soon as I saw it on display.
