Great price and quality, and Eazy to install.

The only issue I faced is that you need to be careful when you buy your microSD card. Not all microSD card compatible with EZVIZ Camera. I called the technical support and Karen from the technical support team explained that to me. Unfortunately, I already spent money buying my 128gb to find it is not comparable. Excellent doorbell camera and service!

I am very happy with my DB1C purchase, particularly considering it is one of the lowest price doorbell cameras sold at Best buy. The picture is very clear and has a viewing area that can see nearly 180 degrees in every direction. It has numerous settings to change the sensitivity of the motion detection and notification methods. I noticed that a lot of the negative reviews mention that their existing chime did not work with the camera, and I had initially thought this was the case for myself as well, however I contacted EZVIZ chat support and they pointed out that the chime selection setting appears when first adding the camera to the app and is actually defaulted to "no chime selected" (which is easy to overlook when doing the first-time setup). I was able to uninstall and reinstall the camera with the correct setting for a mechanical chime and it worked immediately. They were very helpful with changing other desired settings as well.

Nice doorbell, not as easy to set-up

After doing some research I purchased the DB1C doorbell from EZVIZ mainly because it can have internal storage. Here are some of the issues I experienced 1-- the requirements show that the input voltage can be between 8 to 24 vac. I had a 12 vac 10 va transformer and the camera would not work at night. I replaced it with a 16 vac 30 va transformer and that solved the problem. 2-- The wi-fi radio is weak. I could not get the doorbell set-up as my router is in the middle of the house. The smart switches, close by, have no problems. I purchased a wi-fi extender and that solved the issue. 3-- Could not get the existing chime to work. Turns out only some models of chime are supported. I am waiting for a supported chime to see if that will solve the issue.

Easy installation

Nice looking and easy installation. The chime does not ring but it’s probably due to the transformer not powerful enough (16v / 10va). I will replace it with another one (24v / 20va). This is a common problem for chime working with smart door bell.

EZVIZ Video Doorbell

Easy to install and setup is easy. My only complaint is with the EZVIZ app is not user friendly and has little documentation to tell you how the doorbell works and how events are recorded and where video clips are recorded and maintained.
