Problem Child Laptop

For about a year and a half, this laptop was wonderful. It was everything I needed in a laptop, able to run a few games to play with friends, and be able to draw with. Unfortunately, it began going into thermal runaway with the only solution being to disconnect the battery. No warning, no way of knowing when it would go into runaway at night. It just... Did. Sent it to get repaired because it was still under warranty, and it was perfect again for about a week, if we ignore how often it randomly froze for 3 days. But after those 3 days, for a week it was my baby again.
Then, it refused to hibernate properly. Would wake right back up. Thought, ok, maybe something is keeping it awake, and closed Firefox. It hibernated properly. A week later, wouldn't hibernate again even with Firefox closed. Thought, ok, close Discord now. It hibernated then. Thought, as long as I don't have to close my art program ( closing everything that was open effectively ), then I can work with this.
It stopped hibernating again. Bit the bullet, closed my art program. Had nothing open. It hibernated.
Next night, it wouldn't hibernate. Closed everything.
It still didn't hibernate. I put it into sleep mode, thinking that I could get down and actually work on fixing the hibernation problem.. when I got up.
It went into thermal runaway about 5 minutes after it " went to sleep ".
After all of this, I've sent it back to the repair guys to see if they can do anything more, or if it's a lost cause. I have never dropped my laptop, never hit it or even slammed the lid. I have always treated it with the upmost care and compassion I can, / because / I was afraid of it breaking. And it did anyways. I'm... not really sure what to do at this point.
So, while the laptop was working normally, it was lovely! A very nice laptop for drawing, animating, even editing videos and playing certain games! Wasn't able to play anything heavy, like Stray, but it could run Minecraft at a fairly constant 60 FPS, even on large servers with mods! Which was, again, very nice. I'm sure my problems are one-in-a-million, as I've not seen any reports of anyone else's Spin 3s having the same issues as me. Just unfortunate that I've got them.
The pen nib also spontaneously broke (???) inside the laptop without me doing anything, right before I sent it back to the repair guys. Still not entirely sure how that happened, as I hadn't taken the pen out of the laptop for a few days.
3 Stars because I do still recommend the laptop, as like I've just said I may have just received a " problem child " laptop. It worked just fine when it did work. Overall a very frustrating personal experience. I tend to use things until they're completely unusable ( case: last laptop had a completely broken and discoloured screen, and I still drew with it. lol ), and it hit it's point of being unusable far faster than I could've imagined. Had the laptop for less than 2 years. :(
The video included does show me poking fun at the hibernation problem; at the time I thought it was a little silly and didn't know this was the true beginning of my laptop's second downfall.
I would recommend this to a friend!
