This laptop doesn't have hinges, which is good. The screen is connected to the keypad with a bar. Plus, it has an excellent operating system and lots of memory.
I got this laptop at a pretty good price point. Everything looks very sleek, the feel is good for the price and its graphics card is good. However, I noticed that on start-up, there is significant stuttering, even when apps set to automatically launch (like Discord and Steam) should not take up the entire performance of the computer.
What put the laptop in the coffin for me though is its moderately poor to bad internet connection. It is laggier and less reliable than my old computer which connected to the exact same internet, and at my apartment in university it won't even connect to the router, whereas every other device can. This issue is so detrimental that I actually have to return it.
Overall, I am pretty disappointed that there are such significant issues with such a new model. Hoping it is just a one-off.
The main key to depress is slow and hard and doesn't work quickly and lightly the way other computers of mine have done. Also there are many times when I depress a key and a window pops up that has nothing to do with what I am working on. Not a pleasure this one.
I bought this laptop for my daughter in law and it appears to be what she needed. I’ve been hounded by HP to leave a review which is difficult because I don’t use it.
