Bought this unit a little over a year ago, had to call it in at about 6 months due to making large noise...like an airplane taking off. Service person came out, turned it off, did something to excellerate defrosting. Plugged it back in and it stopped making the noise. Month or so later, it did it again. Unplugged and let it defrost, and it leaked all over our new wood floors. Now, it did it again, froze up. Defrosted and water all over the floors again. Fan drying out our floors now and looking at different little fridges to go in its spot. Calling to see if the delivery date is just over a year...guessing not. Looks great though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stay AWAY unless you like 50* drinks

The fridge looks nice, runs quiet, but the temperature control system is terrible. The fridge will cool down to 42-43* at the max cold setting. That is ok and listed in the manual. BUT the fridge will let itself warm up to the low 50s before the condenser kicks on and it cools itself down again. We've been through 2 part replacements and even a full fridge replacement. They do not fix the problem. The problem is a terrible design. No one wants to reach into a beverage fridge on a hot day and get a 52* beer.
Support and the in-home techs we were given were nice and pretty easy to work with, but they cant fix poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does Not Meet it's Own Specifications

The fridge features online says it cools beverages between 38F to 61F. The fridge I have does not cool below 47 F even with temp control set to 38.
A service technician looked at it today, called GE, and told me nothing could be done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beverage Refrigerator

This product met and exceeded my expectations! It will s beautiful, works incredibly efficiently and makes me smile everyday! I did wonder if the door handle is reversible. I am remodeling my kitchen to have a coffee bar and would love to put the frig on the left side but would need the door to swing open to the left. Is this possible? And it would love to chill beer to 32 degrees. Is there a way to do that?

Slick Little Cooler

Nice little beverage cooler. Remember it’s a beverage cooler, not a fridge so doesn’t get as cold. Had issues with mine though. Door wouldn’t close right and alarm would begin to go off. Turns out the hinge bolts are stripped. Not repairable. Service guy was great but GE said there weren’t any available to trade. I wanted to wait for one to become available and they’ve closed my issue. Guess I’m going to have to take a check. Probably a one off deal.

Modern Look and Quiet

Just fired both our unit up and they are quieter than I expected as they cool down to temperature. Really like the clean lines and the wood shelves appear sturdy and well built. The cabinet is nice enough as a stand alone unit ... we are installing as a built in.

Looks Great; Could function better.

The product looks great. The minimum temperature on the controller is 38F however, the lowest it will go is 43F. Some may prefer their beverages to be colder (i.e. 35-40F). You can not keep milk or other perishables in this refrigerator.

Elegant Looking Beverage Center

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love the look of my new GE Profile beverage center. I wanted something to keep our wine bottles in and other beverages cold. I needed something that was not to tall or bulky as the location I placed it in is not big. My husband immediately commented on how nice the glass door makes every bottle inside look elegant. I agreed. The product is a high quality model. Our wine bottles look really nice in the beverage center and our canned beverages stack nicely. I have other GE products in my home. I highly recommend this beverage center if you are looking to add a quality item to your home. This is by far the nicest looking one out on the market and your beverages stay cold and I just LOVE IT!!!
