A great 17-inch laptop for a great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our historical society needed a laptop with a 17-inch screen because our members are mostly senior citizens who need to read large font without having to scroll horizontally. We also needed at least 1 terabyte of storage for our huge archives database. The LG gram gives us 2 terabytes of SSD with plenty of room for growth. There are hardly any 17-inch laptops available from other competitors with this much storage. I give this laptop 4 stars instead of five only because the screen is highly reflective, meaning I have to position the screen so that there are minimum objects to bounce off the screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sorry when my 10-year-old laptop by another manufacturer bit the dust. I needed a replacement right away. I looked for reviews concentrating on laptops that work well for photographers. I'm not a pro, but I have lots of images and do lots of editing with PhotoShop Elements, etc. I needed great visuals and ample memory. Some of the models I looked at were too expensive, but the Gram fit my budget. Plus, the large monitor with clear, true color sounded great. An added plus is how lightweight it is! The tech who uploaded my data from my old machine called it a "brick." When I can travel again, this will be much easier to manage. The other advantage is the slot for the micro SD card! Much easier for transferring images from camera to computer. I'm a writer so I'm using the keyboard a lot, and it's responsive and comfortable. I've owned the Gram for almost a month now and it has more than fulfilled my expectations.

Incredible computer... if the screen would stay on

Very frustrating to have to send in a nearly new computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with my new LG. Screen is beautiful. So light I just have to hand it to people to show off. Battery life is amazing, I do not even take my charger to work. More than fast enough for all my uses cases, even sw development. My only complaint the keyboard seems to be a little too long throw and is sized differently from anything else, so switching between devices takes about 15 minutes to adjust.
