Great affordable backpack with many more features than others. Very much appreciate the accessibility to the main compartment via the side zippers on each side; the 2 extra external pockets on each side of the pack and the 2 additional of the hip belt; the ability to adjust the pack to my exact size (I'm 6'1" tall and 220 lbs.); and I really like the cranberry color. All in all a very well thought out pack. The only negative about the pack is that this pack, as well as it seems almost every other pack these days, uses the less strong and kind of cheap feeling plastic buckle fasteners and strap adjusters. I will have to invest a bit more to make this pack exactly what I want with metal fasteners. But for the price I paid and for the overall design, I definitely give this pack 5 stars. Now, I will see how it holds up in the back country in the next year and how soon I will have to order another.
I recently purchased this bag to enjoy a trip with my son who is a more experienced hiker. We will be going out for a long weekend shortly and this has all of the basics I need to have an enjoyable trip.
Nicely padded straps and waist belt. Seems solid. Only con I've seen so far is a tag/website discrepancy, website says 24" for max torso, tag says 23". Unfortunately my boyfriend has a 24" torso, so I hope it still works.
I have two smaller High Sierra packs and bought this for my brother. It is well-designed and well-made with attention to quallity and wear, such as good zippers. I love them!
