[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using High Sierra products for a long time. I found this pack when looking to upgrade from my 45L Summit pack and was very impressed with the 70L Pathway. More capacity for longer tripping, great organization opportunities, hip belt pockets. Looking the pack over it is constructed well and the color options for it fit well with me, pine/slate. Looking forward to using this on long wilderness trips! #sweepstakes
Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Good Organization, High Quality, Lightweight
Good backpack with a lot of room for longer hikes. Well made and will hold up to use. The back bar is bent away from the body which allows for good air circulation on the back. The height adjustment is a little bit hard to use and could have more levels for fine tuning the height.
Pros: Good Capacity, High Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I haven't taken it out on the trails, yet. It seems well organized. I didn't realize when I bought it that it was suppose to include a rain cover. I was surprised the websites description advertised an included rain cover!! BTW, I purchased it at Dunham's. Other than that, I'm pleased so far.
Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity
Cons: No rain cover

i bought for a little more room than current one , i was impressed with how it carried weight , was over 35Lbs due to low water on section . , also had cold weather gear and bear vault , so much room love all the inside pockets , i had a High Sierra day back that i have abused for over 2 yrs now , not even a loose thread on it , so this looks to be my new overnight pack ,
I bought this as a lighter replacement to my 75l High Sierra bag. This is a fine bag, but I need to contact Customer Service as the rain cover was missing. I do miss the roomy sleeping bag compartment in the 75l that I used to use for my clothing; and I also "miss" the separate zipper pocket on the front that allowed for easy access to such things as toilet paper and my FroggTogg. It doesn't have as many little loopies for my carabiners and the items that I hang from my bag such as my cup. But those are the only cons I can think of. I love the hip strap pockets, and that hip straps alone seem much more comfortable due to the nice padding. The shoulder straps are also more comfortable. It is lighter than my 75l which is exactly what I was looking for, and though I'm not one to really care what color my belongings are, I do like that I was able to pick a nice cranberry color. It's much cheerier than the black pack I had. The zippers seem strong and well reinforced as well as all the seams. I'm able to fill my pack with everything I need for 3-4 days. I only give it 4 stars because I'm not quite sure it's large enough for cold weather backbacking or longer stretches. But we'll see ...
Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Lightweight, Stylish

Missing rain cover

The product seems as it is high quality and there is plenty of storage space, and plenty of options without too many bells and whistles (yes there can be too many that you won't ever use). Not to mention the product looks great as well. I haven't gotten the chance to take this pack out on the trail yet but I was very disappointed to find that the water resistant rain cover that was advertised did not come with my pack. I have gone through every pocket and could not find it, and it was one of the reasons I chose this pack over a competitor's; as this one was supposed to come with a rain cover, whereas at some other places, you need to buy it separately. So if you buy this pack don't be surprised to find no rain cover.
The adjustment strap system was defective and didn't allow me to adjust it to the size I needed. I reached out and sent pictures but no one ever got back to me.
