Nice, quiet unit, but only lasted 3 yrs

I bought this unit to replace a previous Kitchenaid unit that was 15yrs old. It was getting noisy, and just time for replacement. With the good experience of the old unit in mind, I purposely bought another Kitchenaid. This unit started out great. Quite, cleaned well. But now, 3yrs into what should be a 10yr appliance, the pump motor has quit circulating the wash water, and a new pump unit is going to cost 1/4 the price that this unit was new. The engineers win again. Have stuff fail when products are out of warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is soooooooooo quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dishwasher to replace a 2004 dishwasher. It is like night and day. I had to keep checking that it was turned on as it is so quiet. So far so good. Washes great.

So quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this in use for a month and so far it's been great! It's so quiet that we weren't even sure if it was running the first time we used it. Love the 3 racks and the dishes are so much cleaner than our old one.

The dishwasher is so quiet you wouldn't know that it is running except for the light. It is very easy to load and a pleasure to unload because of the cleanliness of the dishware.
