Horrible drying performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Horrible drying performance. Cost me warranty membership fees with no resolution of the problem. Moved into a brand nee home with all brand new kitchen appliances from Kitchen Aid. Specifically I use dishwasher to clean my baby bottles. I tried every single way to get them dried properly but in vain. So, I thought there was a fault and scheduled a service. Service man came and he thought there was a problem with the board and said he had to order. So, I waited a week and then he came back with a new board and said he had fixed the problem, but actually it was not fixed. It is still leaving a lot of water after every single cycle. I am really surprised that there is no separate drying option. If there was so, I would not be that frustrated, I would just run another drying cycle after each cycle. Now I am stuck with this so called brand new machine. I wish I could afford to buy another machine with better drying performance. Or even if there is an exchange option from Kitchen Aid, I would exchange it with another one for better drying performance, I would pay the difference.

The trade offs are totally worth it!

Purchased Thanksgiving 2023 and we are amazed at how clean and shiny the dishes and glasses come out. We run our dishwasher almost every day and sometimes twice in one day due to daily cooking at home.
I chose this model because it is almost silent. Our previous KitchenAid lasted 8 plus years getting heavy use during covid. I did give up a few features with this model in exchange for the lowest decibel level. It does not have the “top rack only” nor does it tell the cycle time on the lighted top panel but I was willing to give those up for the almost silent sound. I find use of the third level silverware rack a great idea. I never thought I would like it but I took out the bottom silverware rack and fit in more serving bowls, mixing bowls and pots. With the top silverware “grid” we don’t have to bend over repeatedly; we don’t worry about knives that little ones might get and the dog no longer runs to lick the spoons and forks! I place each type of silverware in a separate section ( teaspoons together, salad forks together etc) and then emptying silver and placing it in the silverware drawer is SO much faster! In the quest for efficiency and peace I really like the design features and quietness. ( my degree is in home economics) A great purchase reasonably priced.

Don’t build them like they used to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 20 year old Kitchen Aid. It was still working. There was cosmetic part broken and the part was no longer available. I will not have that problem with this dishwasher as I do not believe it will last 20 years. They don’t build things the way they used to. It is quiet and works well as it should as it’s new. Ask me again in 5 years

Great so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are liking this Kitchenaid dishwasher so far. We've been using it for several weeks. Cleans well and is way quieter than the one we replaced. I don't really trust that 3rd tiny shelf in the top if it's a real dirty spoon or spatula but I do put knives up there! I do like the controls hidden on the top of the door!

WATER LEAKS FROM FRONT VENT
on March 30, 2024
Posted by: SprayTech
This dishwasher is so quiet there are times I check the front panel controls to see that it is actually running. Cleans dishwes very well and the 3rd rack for cutlery is a bonus. Door opens smoothly and bottom rack stays put when it is pulled out to load or unload dishes.
THE MAJOR PROBLEM is the FRONT VENT on CONTROL PANEL LEAKS WATER onto the floor when the door is opened. Event though we engage the Heat Dry cycle or Extended Heat Dry in the wash cycle, water leaks from this front vent when the door is opened - A NUISANCE AT ANY PRICE! I Previously owned 2 new LG dishwashers in other homes - never experienced this problem.
