Breaks constantly

We’ve had this dishwasher for about a year & a half now and twice now, the same part has gone bad on it and had to be replaced. This part is also always on backorder. Last time it broke (less than 6 months ago in fact), the part took about 4 weeks to come in. This time, the part is still on backorder and we’ve been without a dishwasher for over 3 weeks now again. I loved this dishwasher so much and recommended it to several friends, but now this is insanity and I would have to absolutely not recommend anyone purchasing it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only used it twice. But so far...it appears that it doesn't have a reverse timing clock so you can see how much longer the wash cycle has to go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had it for about 2 months now. Bought the fingerprint shield finish so it looks great and cleans up nice. Super quiet,I've had to go check and make sure it's really running. Dishes come out clean. Very happy with it!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this dishwasher and it is amazing. It runs so quiet and clean so nice I will never replace with another one.very very happy 👍👍👍👍👍👍
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one month so on-line sight unseen. Did review features. Very impressed with how sturdy the racks are and how much room to load dishes. Hold much more than any previous dishwasher I have owned.
Man. I am so disappointed in this dishwasher. We had the BEST kitchen aid dishwasher (it was from 2018) (254 model) it was wonderfully silent, large spaces inside for loading, the drawer in the top was FLAT and it was a dream. It finally gave out after 7 years so we wanted to stick with KA because we have been so pleased so we went with this one. The top drawer is shorter in length (the old one was the same length as the bottom drawer and now it’s at least 2 inches shorter) - than our old one, the space holders of the rack where you lay bowls and other items are spaced further apart (so you can’t stack bowls back to as well as I used to or anywhere near the same amount), not to mention you can’t fit as many items like cups because it’s shorter. I feel cheated and so disappointed with KA that this is the way they cheap out on things. I used to fit much more in a load than I can now , hence doubling my workload as a mom of 4 whose main job in life is loading and unloading the dishwasher. The drawer on the very top is shaped all wonky, so impractical with how they made it dip down in the middle and so shallow but too shallow to fit anything worthwhile. The top shelf used to be my favorite feature and now it’s laughable how impractical it is. The worst part was that even though it lists the same decibels as our previous one, it’s much louder. (Our old one you could only hear it when it started up) and this one I had to download a decibel tester on my phone and it got up to 60 at some points. You’re losing us as customers, kitchen aid. We are returning this and going with another brand. I’m so sad as I loved our old dishwasher so much. Stop being cheap about things like drawer size, and taking away separators in both in the bottom and top racks. These are why people used to love your products. Because it went that extra mile to make life a little more convenient with the movable bottom for plate and pan sizes, or the extra little corner pocket that holds just a small amount of silverware. There was nothing “extra” here and in my opinion your run of the mill dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
