[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new dishwasher runs so quiet I don't know it's running. The third drawer at the top is really handy. I like having the controls out of sight and reach of little hands. The new dishwasher is certainly different from the old one we had for over 30 years, as you can imagine.

Noisy!

I got this model because of the 39 dBA. This dishwasher is noisy! My previous KitchenAid dishwasher which was model KDTM404ESS3 was QUIET. I moved from the home I had that dishwasher in and truly wish I would brought the dishwasher with me! This model is no longer made as far as I can tell. I can tell you I will be getting rid of this dishwasher. I will not buy another KitchenAid. Other reviews proclaimed how quiet this dishwasher is. Not so as far as my experience with it.
I think this has to do with the spray arm going around during the cycle. This spray arm is very loosely installed . This spray arm is water driven as I was told by a repair man. The model I previously had was gear driven and a very different configuration of bottom spray arm.
It is what it is and I am not having it! Buyer beware.

Sooooo quiet!

We particularly like the controls being invisible when the door is closed, and the towel bar handle is a useful place to hang a kitchen towel. A clean look, great performance, and super quiet. You won’t regret buying this machine.

So Quiet I don't know its running!
