I don't know if I got a defective machine or not. On the LOW setting with vents set on minimum, it still seems quite loud to me. And the HIGH setting does not seem to make the noise very much louder than the LOW setting when testing out the difference.

We are not for sure if you have a defective unit or not. There should be a difference in the volume between high and low. It's not a drastic difference but there is a difference. If you would like to reach out to us directly we would be happy to assist you further.

I love this thing. I lived downtown in a major city next to a parking lot. All winter I could hear the snow clearing of the parking lot. Also a lot of trains going by. I bought this and never woke up from noise again. Only complaint is I only really sleep with the noise now but man does it work!

This will be my 5th yogasleep sound machine. My daughter works nights and lives by an elementary school and her yogasleep is how she is able to sleep through all the noise outside. I have bought one for each grandchild, child, and my husband and I have one in our room. This will be in my room, and I will put mine in our guest room.

We really like our Dohm sound machine. It produces a more natural, sound than the electronic machines we’ve used. The only thing I wish it has was more than two speeds.

This sound machine is perfect. My wife can’t hear me sawing logs and she sleeps much better. It has a higher and lower volume setting which is also nice.

We bought this to replace a Honeywell fan we've used for sleep. The Dohm is pretty good but the sound is more high pitched than we hoped. If it's on high or the slots are open you can hear the whirring of the motor which for me is impossible to sleep with. We kept it for travel and emergencies but ultimately went with a sleep app that has green noise, more conducive to sleep, and a speaker in the bedroom.
