The speed that the oven pre-heats. very important

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got our range just before Christmas 2014 and have enjoyed it everyday since. The only wish on the touch screen controls would be numbers instead of bars. Easier to find the setting you like to use. But overall very happy.

Looks old - Stainless steel is fading away

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very unhappy with this electric range. We bought it 10 months ago and it already looks old. The stainless steel on the head of the appliance is going away (see pictures)! Our electric range looks old and cheap, this is unacceptable for a Kitchenaid product. We chose this brand because we trust it and see it as a high quality product. It looks like it is not made of stainless steel but either that they just stick a membrane that is peeling off. I am very disapointed and I did not get a good customer service at all, as Kitchenaid say that cosmetic issues are only covered within the first 30 days. This is unacceptable that an electric range of this price would look old and cheap after 10 months.
Also, I have to say that the "self cleaning" using only water and steam doesn't work well at all and the cover is hard to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What I like - the knobless control panel; the burners, the large oven window. What I don't like - the oven mess when cooking something uncovered, and the absence of the good old fashioned self-cleaning feature.

I love my new convection oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this new a few months ago for our newly renovated kitchen. My appliances were 25 years old and I was SO ready for a new oven. I baked my Christmas cakes (31st annual tradition for me) and I COULDN'T BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE! Why had I waited THIS long to get a convection oven??? Anyways, they came out beautifully, nicely browned and yet cooked all the way through. (In my regular oven I had to nearly burn the outside to make sure they were totally cooked in the centres) WELL, NO MORE! I was over joyed. Then when I baked my shortbread and was able to put THREE full pans in at once, I was doing a happy-dance! AND the great BIG WINDOW is awesome! My daughter just got a new oven from a different company a couple of years ago and she was commenting on what a nice big window I've got on my KitchenAid. So, so far it has been a hit,
