Easy Transition to a Fabulous Product

Could not believe how easy this transition was compared to those I've done before. Love the big screen, how simple it is to use Windows 10 (again compared to previous experiences) and the confidence I have in the manufacturer having my back.

Still Getting Use To The New Desktop

Still typing to figure out how ever thing works, where to find what, adding old apps and files, setup desktop icons, etc.
One problem I am having is...I setup the printer that I have been using for quite a while, but for some reason this desktop computer will not print color items. Black and white is fine, but not color. Not sure how to fix it.

For School

I got it for basic school work, and it's been fine so far. The keyboard and mouse sent are very bottom-of-the-line, I'll probably be buying replacements. It does have a constant background noise of the fan that kicks up louder sometimes, but that doesn't bother me. If you need it for more than basic internet browsing for school/work, then this isn't the computer for you. If you want something with an adequate webcam and basic capabilities, then this is it. Summed up into one word: basic.

Nice system with some set up glitches
on January 30, 2021

I bought this system primarily for its display. I use it to project photo reference in my art studio. The display is excellent quality and the size is very useful.
Memory is very important, as I project multiple photos at a time and am usually simultaneously listening to podcasts while I work. The standard memory has been sufficient for my needs.
The storage disk is generously endowed with space. The system is reasonably quick and was fairly priced for what it delivers.
The only thing that keeps me from giving this computer 5 stars is two-fold:
1) The Microsoft operating system installed was militant about using their browser and anti-viral package. There was not documentation with the system that allowed me to remove this problem, so I had to seek assistance.
2) That is where the second issue comes in. It was very difficult to find customer support numbers and to get through to it. I haven't bought an HP in a long time and the competitor I have used has always made it very accommodating to get help immediately. Not so here. And I needed a computer to get that information to boot. What if this new HP was the only one I had?
With Microsoft enforcing their products on me during set up, making the system useless out of the box, I was getting quite angry. I strongly resent any company dictating my choices and these strong arm tactics from another global big tech company makes them most odious. Mind you, I like their operating system, and have used it for years. But, don't you dare dictate my choices regarding browser, privacy and firewalls and whose ideas, news and viewpoints I can view. During the course of setting up, I found that photos and files I had never uploaded to the cloud were there. I always copy only to my hard drive or hard drive copies-- never to the cloud. This makes me very angry and suspicious of Microsoft. I don't want anyone tracking me, my tastes, my purchases, and my business --ever.
The poor support guy that ended up getting my call was put on the spot, to say the least. While I did not abuse him, I was very clear that if I could not use the browser and anti-viral packages of my choice with this system, it would be shipped back immediately. Add to this irritation that my addition of a 3 year service policy was not even on record. The support guy took care of me and we got my complaints handled.
My suggestion to HP: avoid the loss of 5 star status with better documentation that gives your clients information as to how to implement their rightful choices as to how they can configure their software and protection needs. Have support telephone and online service numbers attached to your hardware.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying these All-in-Ones for 10 years; for friends, company offices and for myself. This latest model is the best so far. Each one seems to get a bit "better". (Of course Microsoft Win10S is worthless and swapped out immediately).
When a neighbor wanted to update her desktop, I suggest this all-in-one. It arrived in 2 days. She loved it! And I liked it so much, I bought another one for the office.
The idea of 2 drives works if you keep the OS and applications on the SSD and move all your data files to the Hard drive. This requires moving the location of all the system folders; a bit of a bother if you are not techy. It would be good if the OS came already configured this way. It should.
In the office, the format of this PC lets us move it around without much hassle; it's a large tablet.
For home users, everything you need is at your finger tips; USB, SD card reader, DVD player, camera, mic and an exceptionally good sound system.
Good value for money!

Quick and Easy

Never had an "all-in-one" before but the info on it looked good so decided to try. So far I have been delighted. Quick delivery, easy setup - take it out of the box and turn it on. But the big seller is SPEED! I have never had such a fast machine - my requirements are not too onerous, but this machine flies. Internet connections, browsing, etc. are terrific. I have had desktop, tablet, laptop before but nothing comes close. I recommended to my girlfriend, she tried it out, and bought one too.
