Super fun with my 6 year old

My 6 year old daughter worked with me to put it together, and she was actually able to follow the instructions and put most of it together herself. There really weren't any pieces that were tricky to put together. They all seemed to fit together easily.
It was a very clever design allowing for the outside and inside of the theater and for the front to open up to the theater part. And my kids loved that they could put my phone in for the screen and actually watch a movie. I also really loved that there was a cleverly placed bathroom in it. Such a fun set!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun to build and to play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Heartlake City Movie Theater by LEGO is one of my daughter’s favorite sets. There is so much detail put into this set. With my help, it took my daughter (seven-years-old) and myself just over an hour to build. The instructions are easy to follow along, especially since it tells you at the beginning of each section exactly what pieces you will need so you are ready to go. When complete, it is such a fun set to play with. This set opens and closes so you can have outside and inside scenes while playing with your finished movie theater. Overall, this is a great set with a lot of fun accessories to use while playing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My LEGO loving daughter gives this 2 Thumbs Up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9 year old daughter is a huge LEGO fan and loves LEGO friends. So, when I saw that LEGO was releasing this hinged movie theater build kit for January, I knew she would love it.
After surprising my daughter with the kit, she got right to work putting it together. In total it took her about 2 hours to complete. A few of the steps were tricky, but she was able to figure them out and the end product was amazing. Out of all the LEGO Friends kits she owns, my daughter said she loves this one the most. Why? First, she loved the hinged effect of the moving theater which had the doors open and the actual movie theater room being accessible -- this made imaginative play more fun for her. Usually she will just make and display her LEGO builds, but this one she has been playing with and loves to come up with fun stories. She also loves adding her phone as a theater screen making it feel like a real movie theater.
In addition to the hinged effect to this build, my daughter also loves that the Heartlake City Movie Theater has a ticket desk, red carpet area, restroom and even a popcorn kiosk. You also get LEGO friends Andrea, as well as 2 other mini figures to use with the build.
You also get fun extras with the build that will make your kids want to play with it, instead of just building it. This set includes tickets, paper and pen, popcorn, slushy cups and cash bills. It really is a well made build set, and one that my daughter really enjoyed putting together. We will definitely have to check out the other new LEGO releases for Jan. 2021, and if they are anything like this movie theater kit, I know my daughter will love building and playing with them.
If your kids loved LEGO and LEGO Friends, you will definitely want to check out this new set.

So creative

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 year old is in a huge lego phase. She is able to independently complete sets, and this one is no different. I noticed that this one has taken her a bit longer than typical. However, she has enjoyed the entire process without any frustrations.
The accessories are adorable- there is popcorn, a “working” movie screen (aka your phone!), 3 dolls (her favorite part). The movie theater element adds a whole new level of creativity- as it allows her to use her imagination to play out scenes with the character and props.
Another winning set from lego!

Interactive Lego set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego kit has a lot of features like a moving camera that spins. It has 3 rooms. A bathroom, the ticket counter and the theater. The room sections open which is easier to play with. The Lego set has 3 characters. A movie star, a employee, and a customer. They are the same size as normal Lego figurines. The negative about the characters is that their hair falls off a lot. This set has 126 steps which makes it a little larger set. The booklet is separated into 4 sections with 4 separate Lego bags.

So much Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved building this with my 8 year old. It was so fun and pretty easy to assemble even for the kiddo. We loved all of the vibrant colors that were implemented in each of the pieces. We even pretend played with the theater afterwards. This is a great set for any kiddo boy or girl because it is a movie theater and the kids really enjoy playing with it. It comes with little figures as well so that you can pretend play when it is finished being built. Overall an excellent set here!

Just hard enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 kids, 6,7, and 3....we all sat around the table and worked on this. The 3 year old had a hard time but the other two LOVED it. It was not easy but it was not hard either. It was perfect for them to be challenged and they had to work together. It is such a cute little set that they enjoyed every ounce of it. There are tons of pieces but taking the packages out 1 by one and completing them makes it easier. All the FRIENDS sets are adorable but this one was so detailed it was cool to see it all come together.

Very Detailed Set!

This is a beautiful display piece. I think the hinged play area is a really cool feature and that the doors still align when the set is opened. I only wish the top floor had a little more. It seems like waster space. Also a dressing room would have been nice for the actress.
