I had a feeling my 6 yo daughter would like this, and she did. She loved playing with the little elves, the waffle maker, the beds, etc. This was a fun build, no regrets getting it. I'm hoping rebuilding it can become a fun holiday tradition.
Like others have said, the instruction book was really hard to read in spots. We also briefly had a waffle maker issue until I figured out it was a kid build error. (At first, the waffles wouldn't slide through when the lever was moved. They were just a hair short of fitting. I had made sure she put the one piece on correctly that they highlight in the book, so it wasn't that. Eventually I figured out it was the slanted piece located on the *outside* of the chimney, just under the lever. She had put it on with the upward slope facing out, rather than sloping into the chimney. The lever would hit the top of the slope and it was just short of letting the waffle fall through. Once I got that piece turned in the right position, everything worked perfectly.)

Great Christmas set, I highly recommend it. Bought this last year on backorder and still received it quickly. Christmas lights were a little difficult to put on but otherwise a fun build.

Fueled a desire for more Christmas sets

I built this set about two weeks into my new Lego hobby. The details are amazing! Lego writes clear instructions that aid the building process. This set made me research prior Winter Village and Christmas sets in the hopes of acquiring more of them.

Great Family Project

We assembled this as a family due to the assigned difficulty, though I do think my very experienced 7 year old could have done this himself. We loved the attention to detail and fun surprises. This will make a great Christmas decoration.
