Fun build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 year old son has been obsessed with Legos for years. He easily puts together large builds himself so I thought this would be a fun new challenge for him. This was fun to put together and it turned out well. The controls for the car aren't as easy to use as it is to put together, but all in all this is definitely a fun creation and we look forward to more like this.

Great build that leaves you with an RC car

Built this with my 8 year old daughter. we had a great time. She did 99% of the work and I helped with small corrections and some things that required stronger hands.
She loves this model. She loved seeing/building the gearbox and seeing how that moved power from the engine to the wheels. Really a great building experience.
Best part is now that it is over she has an RC car which is pretty fast and fun to take around the house. Only small issue is that the front struts sometimes get knocked loose but it is fairly easy to fix.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a Hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lego RC Buggy was a hit in my house! It took hours to assemble, and then I was able to drive it with my phone. It goes fast and is fairly easy to control. The instructions were accurate and there were no problems during assembly. I cannot wait to get another one to build and race with my buggy. I highly recommend this product.

Nice set with some improvements needed

Overall I am happy with this set. I would give it a 3.5 rating. I finished it in just under an hour. It was a relatively easy build with a few sections that were more complex than others.
I love the 80s color scheme and design of the buggy. It feels solid and fairly heavy duty giving me confidence that it won't break during light to moderate use. I bought this more for the nostalgia aspect of it vs. for play value. I will display it more than I will use it.
Improvements could be made in the controls. The app controls are accurate/responsive but a little difficult to control without a physical joystick or steering wheel controller. I realize that would have added to the cost so I understand the reasons for not including one.
I also ask that LEGO update the app to provide more realistic vehicle sounds vs. the weird assortment of duck, f@rt, etc. Engine revving, engine idle, brake squeal, racing "vroom", more car horns... would be a much better choice in my opinion.
As an adult LEGO builder, thanks for releasing a great product that crosses many age groups.

Amazing little buggy car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my Son who love building things, the focus he gets from building with these legos is amazing by it self, he is usually running in circles or getting into something he is not supposed to be in, or just being over active, it took him a while to get it together it looks amazing, definitely recommend
