Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Lego! And this box was pretty awesome for him! He is 9 years old and spent several hours during 4 days to build it. We helped him and had a great time. Now he is using the tablet as a remote, the app is pretty awesome and overall, we are so happy he got this Lego box. One of the best he had, for sure!

Worthless controls, 0 playability

The model itself is fine. It's fast, and tough enough to do what it's supposed to. It looks cool, it's a great take on a LEGO RC buggy.
This model falls flat on its control scheme through the app. As others have stated, it uses single stick control for speed, direction and steering. I have never seen a RC car of any kind that uses single stick controls like this one does. This is a fast RC buggy that demands twin stick controls to properly enjoy. It is frustrating to the nth degree to even try to pilot this model down the hallway and back.
LEGO, please update the controls to twin stick so we can really enjoy this model. Otherwise, it's just a frustrating pile of LEGOs that will more than likely get repurposed into other models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there. Great to hear you like the set! If you're having trouble with the controls for this model we would suggest making smaller, more precise movements with the virtual joystick to help maneuver the buggy, especially when at speed!

I do like the set but I just wish that It would say what batteries it needed before I opened it. not knowing this previously made it hard to give this product an exceptional grade. for the actual set itself, it was quite fast and had a good range of motion. it could handle rough terrain aswell. I would have liked to see sliders instead of a simple joystick on the app but overall if you have the right batteries it's a good set.

It's okay, but needs more

I've owned a ton of TECHNIC products, and this sits about okay/fair. The front end is really fragile and not well designed - aftermarket and hobbyists have improved - and obviously the motor is pretty weak.
But like all LEGO products, you can modify and upgrade. Just takes some time and patience.

So Much Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego kit is so much fun. It was relatively easy to put together and then once put together, it was a lot of fun to play with. I like that after putting it together, kids have a lot of satisfaction knowing they could do it. It is lots of fun because you build it and then it moves. That was extra special.

Amazing buggy car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This buggy car was a big hit in our house my kids enjoyed building and playing with it. They tested it in a parking lot and also in our back yard they loved that it can go over thing's and that you can play with it on different surfaces. They quality of this is definitely great. Building it was one thing I think was a big hit.
