I like my mechs to have knees.

Pros:
The price to dollar ratio is great.
The mech seems to take inspiration from Pacific Rim and looks great.
Mech fans finally get a Lego mech model that has knees!!!
The build is solid and quite fun to complete.
Finished model looks good from all angles.

Cons:
Cockpit hole looks to big to me. (I prefer my mechs to have protected cockpits).
Arm blade is on the short side. In fact, the weapons all seem to be on the smaller size compared to the big robot.
Not really any villain sets available at this time of comparable size. Nobody for our hero to fight.
Fingers fall off easily.
Conclusion:
For me, this is a positive "step" for Lego mechs. For a long time I've been disinterested in Lego mecha due to the lack of knees. I've seen lots of praise for this set due to the inclusion of knees on many videos and websites. Hopefully if this set is successful it will show Lego that fans desire articulation in their big robots.

Depressing Remake

I used to have a lot of the OG ninjago. I sold them all, and when I saw they were making Legacy I decided to buy a few. This set is very sad compared to the first one. This mech is wayyyy too big from the show, and the mini figures were bad. I really liked how there was a ghost mech in the first one, but no such thing in this set. I suppose little kids love this set, especially those who don’t remember the OG, and I probably would have loved it if I was younger.

Excellent build, one design flaw

This is a really enjoyable build, however there is one place where it's surprising that Lego didn't do better and let this slip by.
On page 42 of the instructions book, step 105, you place a 2X6 plate on top of the assembly you're building (which will become the right thigh). At the end of that assembly are pieces 6332151/4182751. Because of how the 2X6 plate lays on that piece, it is unable to sit completely flat. It's very un-Lego like, and shocking Lego would let that by. I managed to find a workaround with some other pieces.
Aside from that, the rest of the mech is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the minifigures. The mech looks really cool. Would be 5 stars but it is really hard to stand up must have it propped on something or it will probably fall.

Poor design

We had to pull out the kragle (crazy glue) because the legs fall off just looking at them. They are heavy with very little to connect them to the body. A piece was missing but we found something compatible in his collection.
But my stepson loves it and it was fun to build together.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Set

This set was so fun to build and it has some really great figures it was my first mech so it was a new experience for me really loved building it and really love how it looks I definitely recommend it

I don’t think a rotating waist would have been too hard to include but overall an amazing mech!

Great set, only one concern

This is a great set with a lot of posability potential and cool play features. I especially like how the knees can bend and I think lego needs to incorporate that in their sets more often. The only thing I don't like is the fact that there is a gap between the head and chest so Zane is vulnerable to attack and it gives the mech a weak spot for villains to exploit. Other than that, this is a really wonderful set and I enjoy it.
