This mech is cool and big, the fifth season wasn't my favorite but the mech was cool. The best part about this set was the 10 year anniversary Jay.

First of all, I have to say I love this set. Zane's suit is very good with the engraved deep stone and the addition of goultar and Soul Archer. They set is really good and it is a blast building it. And there is the addition of the golden ninja. But you can't move the arms much without them falling off and you having to reattach the piece.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i love when a mach has elbow and knee joints, and the knee joints here are among the best i've ever seen from lego. Really Cool assembly on the back of the knee.

Best Mech Lego has made to date

Its hard to beat the aesthetics of this mech. If youre a fan of mecha model kits as well as Lego this is pretty much the perfect purchase. The cost to part ratio is also fantastic, and the size is impressive when built. That being said good luck finding a worthy opponent for it.

One of the best sets I’ve owned

Now for the biggest draw of this set, KNEES. They function great, very good design in them and they have a great amount of friction, so I don’t expect them to give up on me anytime soon. The rest of the articulation is good to, love that the shoulder pads can move up when lifting the arm. Now for the rest of the mech. It has a really nice angular design compared to previous mechs. Love the choice of color with the white, azure and sand blue as well. The skirt pieces being able to move on joints to hide the racket joints was a great idea as well. Now I do have two issues with the set. The spring loaded shooters feel too easy to shoot, with any slight graze firing them. My second complaint is the figure selection. I love the current figures but I would’ve loved an extra ninja, as the original did come with Jay. Aside from that, lovely set and would recommend.

One of the best lego mechs!!

My son and I are big Ninjago fans and lego fans in general, we both love this set!! Not only is it nice to look at but we've incorporated it in our lego play for hours. We've played pretty hard with it too and never had an issue with any big parts falling off, just the antennas on the mechs head and a couple other small pieces. I'd just like to comment too, I've been reading a lot of reviews about people saying they always get sets with missing pieces, I buy 10-20 or more new lego sets every month and big ones too, and I have never had missing pieces, they are usually stuck in the bag or misplaced during the build. One thing I would like to see from lego though is better QC on some of the sticker sheets. Keep building creativity and imagination Lego :)

The best mech so far...could it be better?

Overall this mech looks great, is a great value for your money, has a good selection of minifigs, and has knees!
My two main problems for this set are as follows:
1. There is a gap between the head and the chest making the ninja operating it vulnerable
2. My main concern for mechs is posability. The leg and feet posability is great. The arm posability needs improvement. Lego designers often miss the fact that arms can cross over the chest, and you simply can't do that with this set and it's unfortunate. This means you are limited on the amount of arm poses you can do and what fight poses you can display with.
